Week 31 — 48 hours of work, and one thing finished end to end

My biggest work week on record, and the only thing I finished end to end was a free newsletter. Plus a 1.1 GB error log, and AI images with fake brand names.

My biggest work week on record: 48 hours. The only thing I finished end to end was a free newsletter.

From the archive: my week of 27 Jul – 2 Aug 2026, written up later from my notes. Short version.

Wins

What broke, and how I fixed it

A log that kept growing
BrokeMy florist site's error log had reached 1.1 GB, growing about 2.7 GB a month.
FixA small fix silenced the noisy messages. The log dropped to zero and stayed there in testing.
Do thisAsk your host how big your error log is. A quiet site can still be filling its disk.
AI images with fake brands
BrokeAI-made images on a client's site showed made-up brand names, and one showed a competitor's.
FixSwapped them for clean images already on the site, and rebuilt the share cards with the real logo.
Do thisCheck every AI image at full size before it goes live.
Automation that needed my laptop awake
BrokeSabahGuide's weekly events scan kept failing.
FixIt only ran when my Mac was awake. For now, it runs by hand every Wednesday.
Do thisIf an automation needs your laptop on, it isn't automated yet.
